Why can't we increase nuclear output in this country?The answer is, of course, irrational opposition by environmentalists. They screech about greenhouse gas emissions from gas- and coal-fired electric plants but, with a few exceptions, they fanatically resist the most reasonable alternative: nuclear power.
That’s only part of the answer. The real answer is the left wants to destroy this country by destroying our economy. Only then will they be able to inflict their beloved socialism upon us, so while the rest of the world is beginning to embrace the freedom we know, we’ll be embracing the horrors they’ve just thrown off.
Go figure.
