Camelot Redux

In 2007 Michelle Obama was named one of the 10 Best Dressed Women in the World by Vanity Fair magazine, so why is she wearing a pink suit (and pearls!) that must have been borrowed from the Smithsonian Institution's Jackie O collection c. 1963? Ditto the hairdo.

Jack Kennedy’s brief occupancy of the White House ended over 40 years ago and many people even as old as 50 know nothing about the Kennedy's other than they were young and glamorous and Mrs. Kennedy wowed them in Europe because she could speak French.

There's talk around the blogosphere that the Obama’s are setting themselves up as the new, improved denizens of Camelot and even though Michelle, like Hillary, was a high powered lawyer in her own right, unlike Hillary, she's playing the part of the little woman with alarming perfection.

These latter-day glamour pusses are almost as sickening as the originals.

A little more of this and McCain will start looking good.
