Liberals on liberals

Participants were college students whose politics ranged from "very liberal" to "very conservative." Where did they find very conservative students at NYU and UCLA? Just asking.

Some tasty tidbits from this article:

... liberals tolerate ambiguity and conflict better than conservatives because of how their brains work. [ed. note: sure they can hold opposite and opposing opinions at the same time.]

Here's a really good one:

Sulloway said the results could explain why President Bush demonstrated
[ed. note: no ambiguity here] a single-minded commitment to the Iraq war and why some people perceived Sen. John F. Kerry, [ed.note: nuanced up the ying-yang here] the liberal Massachusetts Democrat who opposed Bush in the 2004 presidential race, as a "flip-flopper" for changing his mind about the conflict.

It's a short article, but chock full of gems. h/t LGF

Why?

It is I who am in awe of the erudition, frequency, quality and diversity (the real kind) of your posts and the others in the PJA while at the same being engaged at important time-consuming work while I have no demands on my time and can play to my hearts content.
