They Came to StayDay After Day,
They Won't Go Away!
Nay, nay, nay.
They Won't Go Away!
Oy Vey.
They Won't Go Away!
No matter how we pray,
They Won't Go Away!

Our cupboards ain't bare,
But what can we do,
It just isn't fair.
We want something new.

And to make matters worse,
Oh, it's all so perverse!
What shall we do?
With far more than a few,
Old friends, tried and true.

Perhaps, some dark night,
Out of everyone's sight,
We'll get rid of the blight,
And set everything right.
Order preserved.
And sanity served.

Ah, a soulmate. My beloved mother-in-law, an Eastern European immigrant, knows full well her incompetent daughter isn't taking very good care of me, so she regularly sends us wonderfully savoury CARE packages full of old-country delights, all packed in these things. My wife, ever her mother's daughter, won't throw them out. She assures me her mother will want them back and that we must either save them or be terminally humiliated for insulting the old dear. Her mother always seems to forget to remind us about them. Anyway, the end result is...
AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
It must skip a generation, because I don't cook to speak of either. After my husband retired he took it up and has gotten pretty good at it. I suspect he's the one responsible for attracting all these "potchkas."
That looks like a real cook's kitchen to me, e.
Looks can be deceiving.
