Demise of the Euro

It is only a matter of time, probably less than three years, until the euro experiment meets its end.

I agree with the conclusions in this Forbes article, but not the cause nor the timing. If the Dems win (God forbid), the euro will drop like a stone, because the big players who are propping it up will have gotten what they want and taken their money out of euros. If the Reps win, the euro will decline, but not as precipitously.

Sarkozy has been rumored to believe that France would be better off out of the common monetary market and wants to bring back the Franc. I don't know if Merkel, as a product of collective thought from East Germany, is gutsy enough to even think of bringing back the Marc. Italy? Does anyone know who's in charge there from one day to the next. Spain has an economic policy? Belgium is collapsing. The Netherlands is tightening up their "anything goes" policies. The Danes and the Swedes are moving away from socialism as fewer and fewer people there actually work. Norwegians, with their vast oil revenues, are economically independent, but at odds with their own culture ... and on and on. Add to this a negative birthrate for all Europeans with only their Islamic immigrants reproducing themselves which is no help to the welfare state because most of them are on the dole and not contributing.

With our resiliency and the genius of our people, we'll survive no matter what. It is the poverty stricken peoples of the earth who will suffer if the U.S. goes back to the policies of the left.
