Will the Real Palestinian Please Stand Up.

The kaffiyeh, pictured below, is a rectangular piece of cloth, folded diagonally and then draped over the head — Yasser Arafat, the late Palestinian leader, has made the kaffiyeh famous in recent times.

The excellent American Thinker website has again filled in a gap in most people's knowledge. This time about the history of the so-called Palestinians. Whatever one's opinion on the convoluted political situation in the Middle East, one should at least be acquainted with the facts before opining.

FTA -- A famous myth states that the various Arab tribes have long established themselves in Palestine. Then the Jews came and drove them out. This is of course patently false, as any knowledgeable historian will tell us.

Even some of us non historians could tell us, but alas no one will listen. The media having done their usual excellent job of obfuscating the facts and promulgating the lies.

The author of the piece, Michael Bussio, has done an excellent job relating the history of the area currently referred to as Palestine. Would that he do the same for the Balkans which have been given a similar historical remake by the media.
