Honoring our Heroes?

It's sickening to think that one of the architects of this travesty was married to a man who was this close to being in the White House.

Maddening, but still, only a symbolic victory. Very few who visit the site will realize any of this, rendering those elements moot.

Further, winning a few abstract battles, while losing every actual physical one, is no way to preserve a culture. They're going down.

You're right that few who visit this memorial will realize the abomination perpetrated by those who hate us and that militant Islam will fail. My fear is for all the random innocents that they will take down with them.

What I don't understand erp is why an American architect has chosen to design such a memorial.
Also, I thought muslims were pretty picky about non-muslims using Islamic icons because of potential blasphemy, desecration, or infidelic impurities.
