Full Court Press for Universal "Health Care"

One of my many pet peeves is that the terms health care and health insurance/coverage are used interchangeably in the media and even among the citizenry.

Via lucianne.com. Click here for article, The Curious Case of 200 Nearly Identical MSM Headlines.

This reminds me of the gags Limbaugh does when he compiles a montage of different leftoid pundits, politicians and personalities using the same words to sell one of their moonbat ideas. The one he did on the word "gravitas" was hilarious. Sorry I can't remember who it was the brilliants were accusing of not having any -- probably Bush.

Some facts about health care coverage in the US from the article:
Data from the Census Bureau debunks the lie continually promoted by the mainstream media of the legendary 47 million uninsured Americans:

• 9.5 million people are illegal aliens
• 8.3 million uninsured people are those who make between $50,000 and $74,999 per year and choose not to purchase insurance
• 8.7 million uninsured people are those who make over $75,000 a year and choose not to purchase insurance

This leaves approximately 20 million uninsured; less than 7% of the population. Why do some people choose not to purchase insurance? 60 percent reported being in "excellent health or very good health" and purposefully decided not to buy insurance.

The mainstream media's willingness to act as an unthinking public relations arm for a tiny minority of left-wing radicals is truly despicable. But it's not unexpected for an industry destined, in large part, for the black hole of bankruptcy.
Apparently, it's unthinkable among the compassionates that people should be able to judge for themselves whether they want to pay for health insurance. I think it's taking a gamble, but then I'm conservative and dislike taking chances, so we've spent a fortune over the years on different kinds of insurance including health insurance.

Other of my fellow citizens feel otherwise and I don't want to dictate to them how to spend their money, but then neither do I care if they go bankrupt paying medical bills for illnesses they thought could never happen. They spun the wheel and took their changes -- same goes for drunks, drug addicts, inveterate gamblers, etc . I don't want to pay their tabs either ...

and I certainly don't want to pay the tab for another enormous federal bureaucracy designed to enhance the public service unions and diminish our access to the health care we think we need and want.
