Even though they're on opposite of the divide, Palin scares me almost as much as Obama. Of course, the right has a very long way to go to balance out the left, so for now and into the foreseeable future, she's the better choice and I will vote for the ticket and urge others to vote for it too. Eventually, however, I believe, the far right will regress from the license of today's world into the bleakness of earlier oppressive societies.
If Obama wins and gets a majority in congress, he will have the votes to take away our guns and as many of our freedoms as he can snatch and as we've seen around the globe, it's very hard to dislodge lefties once they get in power because their game plan (proven time and again) is to massacre or imprison those who oppose them.
The US has been the beacon for those who seek freedom. Without us, where is the hope of the world?
I don't want my grandchildren to live in the bleak gray world of repressive socialism or repressive religious fundamentalism whether Christian or Muslim.
Will we be able to strike a balance moving now a little to the left and now a little to the right?
I sure hope so.
