I can't believe all the people in Illinois who, while watching their own state go down the drain due to mismanagement by the Chicago Crew, vote for the same people to run the country. What do they expect? "Forward" they tell me. "Forward to what?" - they don't know, but they know it's forward.
Yes, as a country we have chosen to be somewhat less free and to continue heading in the direction of reduced liberty.
At least we know what the game is.
I'm sure your grandchildren are smart and as long as they're also flexible and resilient, they'll probably do pretty well regardless of the ruling regime.
Thank you, yes. They've made amazing progress and will be in rehab in the very near future. I can't praise the burn unit staff at Mass General and Brigham & Women's hospitals in Boston highly enough. They are outstanding.
We are house and cat sitting in Connecticut making weekly trips to Boston and being reminded daily of why we left N.E. for the Sunshine state, e.g., it's snowing as we speak, this after 8 days of no power and temps in the 30's.
