Enough Already

Member of the House of Representatives from Virginia, Eric Cantor's, office was shot at yesterday.   This is a criminal matter which will be investigated, the perp found and punished.

As serious as this matter is, it's not the reason for this post.   What I've had enough of already is the media's lunatic obsession with race and ethnicity.

FTA Eric Cantor is Jewish.   He is the only Jewish Republican.

Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio) was also mentioned, but no description of his or her religion was given?   The origin of the first name is French.  Huguenot or Catholic?  Parisian or Provincial?  -- the last name is German.  Prussian or Bavarian?   East or West?   Other?   Catholic or Lutheran?   Other?   What other ethnicities are lurking unknown.   An Indian grandparent perhaps?   We must know otherwise how will we pigeonhole Ms or Mr Schmidt?

This divide and conquer multi-culti nonsense must stop.   Neither Cantor nor Schmidt's ethnic background has anything to do with the issue of Obama's insurance scam.   We've endured hyphenated Americans for too long.   Both Cantor and Schmidt are Americans serving in congress and in that capacity have bravely stood up for what they believe.

That's good enough for me.
