Kindle Me a Book

A couple of weeks ago I downloaded Kindle to my hard drive.   I also downloaded a couple of free books to see how it works.  It worked just fine. Nothing startlingly innovative and it's still not back lit, so you need a reading lamp at night, but fine all the same, especially as the download is free.

Reading books on my laptop is nothing new.  I've been downloading from Gutenberg for years using MS Word's Reading Layout which also works just fine.

What's been missing was the ability to read a review of something new and immediately have it at hand. Something akin to dying and going to heaven.   So I am now the proud owner of Paul Johnson's, Churchill and anticipate many happy hours reading it.

I understand that one can swap Kindle books by authorizing access to  email addresses somewhere or other on the website.  If anyone would like to read this book, let me know and you can join me in my literary heaven.
