It was startling to see something written in Albanian on my Google Reader.
Even though I'm 100% American, I'm pretty proud of the people of my national origin.
We've had a chance to meet some of our Albanian cousins who came to visit and their admiration for the United States and their exuberance is wonderful to see.
Our family is Eastern Orthodox. It was amazing to me that although there was no religion at all during the communist years, everybody got baptised and consider themselves religious. There was intermarriage between Orthodox and Muslims, unheard of before communism, and it continues now with neither side minding very much.
Faleminderit [Thank you] to Skanderbeg for a great article.
